The media landscape is changing.  Most of know this, but some of us do not.  Those that know, understand, and can harness the variables involved will survive, and even thrive in the new environment that has been created in the last few years.

Clay Shirky, writer, consultant and teacher on the social and economic effects of Internet technologies. describes a story where a four year old girl is watching kids programming and gets up to shuffle through the cords behind the TV to look for the mouse.  Shirky then makes the comment, ” Media that’s targeted at you but does not include you may not be worth sitting still for”.
