ideas slip’d away at dreams dissent
to spaces known for vivid lands misplaced
where languished words hold tight to lost embrace
and lend an ear to hear my malcontent

as moments pass and lines are slow erased
so now my thoughts grasp out with wild reach
I feel my world slow soft, and then beseech
the fragments would return to stay in place

alas my hopes in this unbidden speech
do naught to hold my cherished tales tight
I follow blindly them into the night
where once again I search for dreams to leech

my life’s a lie. my dreams reality
the world is dark. I need that light to see
