Simple one-word commands in most cases, and both startup and shutdown options too.

It could be said that a command-line interface to an out-of-date media player might be a little less than useful.

On the other hand, it’s nothing unusual, considering some very contemporary applications employ text-only interfaces.

And we’ve talked through this before. I might find it obtuse to rely on a text interface for a graphical program — it even seems backwards, in a way.

But there are ways to put this to use. If you are imaginative. 😉
