It’s time for the Kingston Korean Festival again! It was reported that last year’s festival saw 10,000 attendees and 2013 is set to host the biggest festival yet! So this Saturday 17th August, make sure you get yourself to Kingston for the 16th annual Korean Festival!
2013 has been a very special year with many anniversaries commemorated. To mark the 60th Anniversary of the ceasefire of the Korean War, the festival will begin at 10:30am with a special liberation day ceremony and parade in honour of the British Veterans of the Korean war.
This years also marks 130 years of friendship between the UK and South Korea and to celebrate this long friendship, this year’s festival has a very special theme of “togetherness”.
